The Dakar Rally undoubtedly known as the "world's most dangerous race is back in South America and this time includes a very special destination - Bolivia.

SAMt will again follow this incredible event, providing participants with all the ingredients for a lifetime adventure.

This time however, those who join us will not only have the opportunity to watch the rally, but also to get to ride on the largest salt desert in the world -The Uyuni Salt flats in Bolivia- A destination where SAMt has the pleasure to take many riders every year.

"Follow the Dakar 2014" will provide the participants with the opportunity to live a unique experience, crossing the deserts of Chile and Bolivia.

Watch and be part of the Dakar. Intercept the race in a location which will get you as close as possible to the action. The race will be just two steps away from us while you sit under the shade of a spider tent, drink cold bev- erages and eat fresh food cooked on site on our wok! 

Atacama Desert

The Atacama desert is the driest desert in the world. Some places in the Atacama Desert have not had rainfall for over 400 years. The Atacama desert is found along the coast of Chile, South America -right next to the Pacific Ocean- the biggest body of water in the world.

Uyuni Salt Flats

Even though Bolivia is a landlocked country, there are areas of it you can visit on holiday to see big bodies of water. The Salar de Uyuni in the north of Bolivia is where the famous salt plains of Uyuni and crystal clear lagoons are situated. It covers a massive 10,582 kilometres and is 3,600 metres above sea level. Uyuni and extends like a huge flat white desert.

The salt flats are found in the southwest corner of Bolivia and the area is so massive it can be seen from space but you really need to see them from the ground to appreciate their beauty.
